The inaugural Pink Ribbon Cup was held on 23 April 2005 at Caulfield Racecourse. The Pink Ribbon Cup has now cemented itself in Melbourne as one of the flagship events on the racing and social calendar during the Autumn season.
In just three years, over $100,000 has been donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. This contribution has funded a research scholarship at Royal Melbourne Hospital.
